Northern Horizon Capital Group is an experienced investment manager operating from offices located in Helsinki, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, Vilnius and Berlin. Internship opportunity in the Helsinki office

Your future tasks include (but are not limited to) supporting our Finnish and Swedish transaction teams by preparing high-quality investment papers including sophisticated financial analyses for approval by relevant decision-making bodies. You will also be assisting our business development team by researching new market, product and investment opportunities. Furthermore, you will support our teams in client reporting and other daily management activities of existing investment mandates. The role will include assisting in some ad hoc tasks, such as administrative work related to the property companies and funds. The internship would ideally start in the beginning of March 2018 and last for three to six months. For an outstanding performer a post-graduation full-time position may be considered.

In order to succeed in this role, we expect you to

  • Be at an advanced stage of your studies in a suitable academic field (e.g. finance, economics, real estate, engineering, law).
  • Have a keen interest in financial markets generally and the asset management industry specifically.
  • Not necessarily be an expert in commercial real estate yet, but possess the willingness and ability to learn quickly.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Have an ambitious and diligent work ethic with a positive ”can-do” attitude.
  • Have excellent skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Have excellent spoken and written English and Finnish; fluency in other languages relevant to our operating area, particularly Swedish, would be considered an advantage.
