Northern Horizon entered in a 10-year lease agreement with Freie Universität Berlin (FU)
The German „Hansa“ Fund of the Scandinavian Northern Horizon Group is providing lease area to the Freie Universität Berlin (FU Berlin) for one of the biggest computer-assisted examination centers in the entire German-speaking area
Already in December 2017, the Northern Horizon Group has rented to the Freie Universität Berlin (FU Berlin) a lease unit of more than 600 m² for an unbreakable lease term of 10 years. The lease unit is currently tailor-made equipped and will be handed over until the end of the summer semester 2018.
„With the new E-Examination-Center, which will be part of the Seminaris Campushotel building in Berlin, the FU Berlin will have one of the most modern computer-assisted examination centers as its disposal with an optimized open space design covering 181 places. By that the FU Berlin is perfect prepared for the challenges of the growing digitalization in the academic area”, says Dr. Andrea Bör, chancellor of the Freie Universität Berlin. „The new space supplements the E-examination-Center EEC the FU is running since 2013 in the Fabeckstraße with more than 150 places. In total the FU provides now more than 300-PC-places for E-examination.“
„We are pleased to provide in our land-mark building, designed by the famous architects Murphy/Jahn, these facilities to the FU Berlin closest to its Campus and the students. We are providing modern examination space and a state of the art architecture”, added Georg Haider German head of Northern Horizon Group. “In the coming years we will maintain to invest in value-add commercial properties in Northern Germany to deliver attractive returns to our institutional investors.”
