Northern Horizon acquires newly converted 80-bed care asset in prime location in Helsinki, Finland

Following a busy spring on the asset acquisitions front, Northern Horizon, the leading specialized social infrastructure asset manager in the Nordics, has signed another transaction in Helsinki, Finland, for its Aged Care Social Infrastructure Fund. A converted and fully renovated asset has been acquired from Schroder Real Estate Kapitalvervaltungsgesellchaft MBH. The asset includes 80 modern care beds for elderly and disabled residents and is located in one of the most attractive residential areas in Helsinki. The acquisition is expected to be completed during August.

Northern Horizon, leading specialized social infrastructure asset manager in the Nordics, is further strengthening its position in Denmark through the acquisition of an attractive development project in Kerteminde Municipality for its latest fund, the Aged Care Social Infrastructure Fund (ACSIF). The project comprises a new care home and 16 separate senior living units, with a transaction value exceeding DKK 300 million. The seller is Skjøde.

Northern Horizon announces second fund raise in Q1 2026 and targets continued growth

Northern Horizon, the leading specialized social infrastructure investment manager in the Nordics, closed the first quarter of 2026 with another funding round of approx. EUR 100 million for its flagship evergreen platform, Aged Care Social Infrastructure Fund (ACSIF). The new equity is raised from MN on behalf of PME, a large Dutch pension manager. This combined with the commitment from MN’s other client PMT of EUR 100 million, meant that Northern Horizon closed out EUR 200 million of new equity for ACSIF in the first quarter of 2026 from MN. Further top ups were made also from existing clients.
